Here’s a recap of all the contestants who took part in Celebrity Big Brother 2018 and who won the season. As its title suggests, Celebrity Big Brother is a spinoff of the reality TV show Big Brother. While Celebrity Big Brother deviates from its parent show in some respects – most notably in its condensed run – it’s pretty much the same format with contestants living together in a house cut off from the rest of the world and competing to avoid elimination and win a cash prize of $250,000.
The very first version of Celebrity Big Brother aired in the UK way back in 2001. CBS had plans for an American version of the show since the early 2000s with various celebrities attached over the years including Howard Stern, Paris Hilton, and Roseanne Barr. It wasn’t until 2018, however, that the U.S. finally got its own version of Celebrity Big Brother which aired in February of that year and featured main show host Julie Chen as the presenter.

Winner: Marissa Jaret Winokur
Mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell was the first to be eliminated from the Celebrity Big Brother house, followed by actress Keshia Knight Pulliam of The Cosby Show fame. In the final episode of the season, the competition was whittled down to just five celebrity houseguests – former presidential aide Omarosa Manigault, Miss Colombia winner Ariadna Gutiérrez, Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath, TV host Ross Mathews, and Tony Award-winning Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur. It was Marissa who was named winner and took home the grand cash prize of $250,000 with runner-up Ross receiving $50,000 plus an additional $25,000 after being voted America’s Favorite Houseguest.
The following year Celebrity Big Brother returned for a second season with houseguests that included the likes of former WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie, Lindsay Lohan’s mother and former momager Dina Lohan and singer Tamar Braxton. However, reality TV fans looking forward to a third season of Celebrity Big Brother will be disappointed as CBS has confirmed there are no official plans to air the spinoff show in 2020. It hasn’t been officially cancelled though, so there’s a chance Celebrity Big Brother could return at a later date.
